Masu - Uki
Masu - Uki
“浮 – Uki” is an elegantly designed Masu with beautiful carvings on the bottom.
It uses a relief carving technique, which is also used in danjiri carving. This technique is to carve down the background and make the carving part “float” up.
You can enjoy three beautiful carvings of a lucky charm, a mallet, a cherry blossom, which has been loved as a Japanese flower since ancient times, and a deer dozing under the flowers.
It is made of hinoki, which is the second most commonly used wood in danjiri. In order to enjoy the scent of hinoki and the feel of wood, it is made of solid wood without coating.
You can use it as a sake cup to pour sake, and you can also enjoy it as an interior decoration.
